When the doors open for Bets for Pets Casino Night, Operation SNIP ‘EM will once again turn entertainment into impact. The fundraiser fuels the nonprofit’s year-round efforts to prevent overpopulation and keep animals in loving homes. “Fundraisers like Bets for Pets have an enormous impact on our ability to continue helping local animals,” said Operation SNIP ‘EM Founder Amy Pearson. “This event is Operation SNIP ‘EM’s biggest fundraiser of the year and the money raised will fund our program for roughly five months, covering the cost of spay/neuter vouchers, trap-neuterreturn (TNR) efforts and community outreach.” The second annual event will take place Nov. 8 at the Ray County Veterans Building, 312 Clark Street in Richmond. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and gaming begins at 6:30. Each $75 ticket includes $200 in casino play money, unlimited drinks, dinner and a chance to win prizes valued at more than $10,000.
