Warsaw man faces 14 felonies, trial date set

A new trial date has been established for a Warsaw man facing legal charges, including rape or attempted rape of a juvenile, related to alleged incidents in Ray County. Thomas M. Bailey, 33, faces 14 felonies including rape or attempted rape, first degree, victim is less than 12 years of age; four counts of sodomy or attempted sodomy, first degree, victim is less than 12 years old; tampering with a witness in a felony, three counts of person with serious infectious or communicable disease knowingly expose another to disease; and five counts of incest. Bailey recently appeared before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Kevin L. Walden, who ordered the jury trial to start at 9 a.m. on March 24, 2025, and reserved the court for seven days of trial. Previously, Bailey was scheduled to start trial on May 20, 2024, but Walden canceled the trial on April 3. There is no listed reason for the cancellation.
