An Independence man is facing two felony charges after stealing a Richmond Community Bank of Missouri Automated Teller Machine (ATM) on Walton Way. This is the second arrest in the case. Montez J. Sherman, 30, has been charged with stealing and first-degree property damage and is being held in the Ray County Jail without bond, according to Richmond Police Chief Scott Bagley. Officers first arrested Terrence D. Alexander, 23, in connection to the case. He was charged with stealing and first-degree property damage and is also being held in the Ray County Jail without bond. The theft occurred on Jan. 31 and both arrests were made by Richmond Police Department along with the Independence Police Department and Kansas City Police Department - East Patrol.
