Russo to take reins as superintendent

A new school district superintendent has been named by Orrick Board of Education, to be effective July 1, 2025. Rosendale resident Chris Russo will replace Scott Guilkey, who began his tenure at Orrick School District in July 2022. “I am honored at the opportunity to join such a wonderful team,” said Russo. “I am excited for this new chapter as I take on the role of superintendent at Orrick.” Russo has been involved in education for 19 years, spending 13 years as a math and science teacher in Mansfield. For the past six years, he has served as the principal for grades six through 12 at North Andrew R-VI School District in Rosendale. Married to his wife, Memory, for 26 years, the couple has seven children and one grandchild. “I am an outdoor enthusiast, passionate about activities like fishing, golfing and camping, and also find joy in gardening,” said Russo. “These hobbies hold a special place in my heart because they allow me to spend quality time with my family.” In addition,…
