Richmond man to face jury trial in alleged child sexual abuse case

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Richmond man facing multiple charges involving child sexual abuse.

Daniel Wayne Keith Jenkins, 41, is charged with four felonies, including first-degree statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy involving a person less than 12 years old, two counts of second-degree child molestation involving a child less than 12 years old and tampering or attempting to tamper with a victim in a felony prosecution.

Jenkins recently appeared before Eighth Judicial Circuit Judge Kevin L. Walden, he waived a formal reading of the charges and entered not guilty pleas to all charges.

Following the plea, Walden ordered the case set for a three-day jury trial scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. April 26, 2027.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2027.

On March 6, 2024, Richmond Police Department (RPD) Cpl.
