Richmond man arrested after stabbing pregnant woman

A pregnant Richmond woman was able to call Ray County 911 for help after she was attacked and stabbed by her domestic partner. Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers confirmed Justin Robinson, 39, of Richmond was arrested and charged with 16 felonies in total related to the incident. Those charges included six counts of domestic assault, six counts of armed criminal action and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, creating substantial risk. According to Childers, dispatch received a call in the early morning hours of Jan. 30 by a woman claiming she had been stabbed by Robinson, who had fled the scene in her car. The dispatcher could hear children crying in the background. Ray County Sheriff deputies and Richmond Police responded to the scene. “The female, who was 26 weeks pregnant, had a severed nose, a deep cut to her chin and a stab wound to her abdomen,” he said. “When he stabbed her the second time, the handle broke off the knife.” The woman and her fetus survived a…
