Ray County 911 Board receives clean 2024 financial audit

The Ray County Emergency Services 911 Board is operating with stable financial footing following the completion of its annual audit for the year ending Dec. 31, 2024. The audit, conducted by Kenny Hales, CPA, was presented to the board during its March 27 meeting. The audit includes a detailed review of the 911 board’s basic financial statements and internal controls and concludes that the financial statements “present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position” of the board. The Ray County 911 Board is responsible for managing the county’s emergency dispatch system, including operations, personnel and infrastructure related to 911 services. The board is governed by appointed members and receives funding from local sales tax revenues and service fees. As of Dec. 31, 2024, the board’s total assets, including cash, accounts receivable and capital assets, were listed at $5,478,438. Total liabilities were reported at $12,992, resulting in a net position of $5,465,446. …
