Public meeting set for Route Z bridge replacement
A bridge south of Orrick that has carried Missouri Route Z traffic for decades is nearing the end of its service life and transportation officials want to hear from the community before it is replaced.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will hold an open-housestyle meeting to discuss a bridge replacement on Missouri Route Z over Keeney Creek, approximately one mile south of Orrick. While safe to travel on, the existing bridge has reached the end of its service life.
The meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Orrick Community Center located at 111 East South Front Street. The meeting will provide the opportunity for attendees to ask questions, learn more about the project and leave a comment. MoDOT is committed to providing access to this event for all participants.
