Unofficial general municipal election results for Ray County — with only 10.7% of registered voters casting a ballot — have been released, with all eight precincts reporting. Of the 17,290 registered voters in Ray County, only 1,851 chose to vote on April 8. Voters in Richmond elected four city council members, with incumbents and newcomers winning seats in each ward. Terry Dickey won in Ward 1 with 40 votes (72.73%) over Bob Bond, who received 13. In Ward 2, Deanna Guy secured 97 votes (97%). Rodney Williams took Ward 3 with 83 votes (98.81%) and Rob Kinnard was elected in Ward 4 with 92 votes (95.83%). Barb Scowley will join the Ray County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees after winning 906 votes (52.92%). She was followed by Shari Renfro with 533 votes (31.13%) and Lisa Reed Nelson with 264 (15.42%).
