Everyone has hobbies in which they enjoy participating, and for Megan Pendleton, it’s upkeeping cemeteries. At nearly 10 years old, Pendleton found herself helping her grandfather and father maintain their families’ grave sights and headstones. Enjoying the calmness of a cemetery, she said taking care of your loved ones doesn’t stop after they pass and upkeep of their plot is a way of caring for them. “I’m knowledgeable on preservation, headstone repair and maintenance, resetting, overall cemetery maintenance and care, the whole nine yards,” she said. Pendleton explains that her love for taking care of cemeteries dwelled when her grandfather passed away in 2018, which was extremely hard for her.
