Learn to Grow Your Food event series begins
The Ray County Library is planting the seeds of self-reliance – literally and figuratively – with the launch of a new educational series focused on food growing and sustainability.
The “Learn to Grow Your Food” event series will begin with a Seed-Starting Workshop on April 16 from 5-5:45 p.m. This workshop will take place in the library’s Community Room, located at 215 E. Lexington Street in Richmond. It is free and open to the public and registration is available online.
Attendees will receive expert instruction from the MU Extension Horticulture Team, who will guide participants through the fundamentals of starting seeds indoors in preparation for transplanting into outdoor gardens later this spring. The event promises to be both informative and practical – each participant will leave with seeds they have personally planted during the workshop.
