Tyne Morgan Hulsey is a national agricultural news broadcaster for the Farm Journal and host of the “U.S. Farm Report.” She came to Richmond High School to talk to agriculture communication students about her day-today life as a broadcaster and how she became the first ever female host of the “U.S. Farm Report.” Morgan Hulsey explained how male-dominated the field of agricultural broadcasting was when she graduated college; she told the class that at the time there were only three TV shows about events dealing with agriculture and all were hosted by men. Her first internship was with local radio station KMZU, and within three days of interning she was on the air. She knew then that she could be the first woman with her own agricultural news TV show.
