Hospital hosts broadband ribbon cutting

Ray County Hospital and Healthcare (RCHH) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate access to broadband internet, along with special guest Missouri’s 6th Congressional District Representative Sam Graves. RCHH’s project was funded in part by the Federal Communications Commission’s Universal Service Fund Rural Health Care program. Congress didn’t vote on this funding, said Graves. RCHH CEO Jeff Bloemker said he met with Richmond City Administrator Tonya Willim and Richmond R-XVI Superintendent Bryan Copple to discuss ways to better the Richmond community. “As you all know, the key to a highclass community is a meaningful partnership between a strong school system, a high-quality hospital, and city leadership with a vision,” said Bloemker. “With those pieces in place, we quickly connected on a shared vision.
