Gordian to oversee planning for county’s top projects

Repairs and other projects are moving ahead after Ray County Commissioners agreed to have Gordian do a job site walkthrough to define the scope of work needed. Included on the project list is a new generator for the jail, roof and concrete repairs at the courthouse, and paving of the parking lot and entryway. “It’s all performancebased,” said Gordian Accounting Executive Brian Finn. “We get paid when a job is finished, and the contractor pays us. There’s no extra step through purchasing where they have to issue multiple checks.” Commissioners identified the four projects as immediate priorities and agreed to have Gordian coordinate with contractors to assess each site and prepare proposals. “You can email me a punch list of projects you guys are considering now for the immediate and then we can make sure that we have the contractor capacity to handle those,” said Finn.
