Four Republican candidates contend to face Democrat Sam Pigg in general election

Three republican newcomers face incumbent, Gary Wilhite in the primary election; Bobby Don Davis, Katie Kraxberger, and James Evans.

The winner will face Sam Pigg in the November general election for a seat on the Ray County Commission. The Richmond News asked a series of questions to the candidate, James Evans did not respond.

BACKGROUND Davis: 65, of Ray County, has a high school education, National Honor Society and two years in automotive technology. He is currently a business owner.

Kraxberger: resident of Rayville has a Bachelor’s of Science in Legal Studies. Master’s in criminal justice with a minor focus in Emergency Management and a Master ‘sin Legal Studies.

Wilhite: 75, of Ray County, has a high school education from Excelsior Springs, National Honor Society, and attended college at Culver Stockton, Northwest Missouri University, William Jewell and Maple Woods. He is a current Ray County Western Commissioner.
