Feature film at Daddy’s continues to bring new customers

People from all over the metro area are coming to Richmond to see “real farmers” and to eat “real food.” Daddy’s 10-13 Diner got a taste of the limelight last June and people are still talking about it, according to Daddy’s co-owner Natalie Cringan-Lamar. The Richmond-based eatery was rented to become a TV set as Farm Journal, Pivot Bio and Fivestone Studios filmed the project “Farmers’ Table.” The TV program invites farmers from around the country to converse about niche topics. “The experience taught me to be quiet while someone is filming – it was so hard to be quiet while working,” she said. “Honestly, I’ve never participated in a TV show before and to see the behindthe- scenes was mind-blowing to watch.” Daddy’s “represents what goes on in small communities in the U.S.,” said Pivot Bio Communications Representative Tracy Willits. “It wouldn’t be appropriate to do something in a large city where farmers don’t live, eat and attend church.
