Excelsior Springs woman facing two felony charges

An Excelsior Springs woman has entered a not-guilty plea to two felony charges in Ray County Court. Kathryn J. Wright, 60, is facing allegations of first-degree harassment and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution. According to the complaint filed by Ray County Prosecutor Camille A. Johnston, the range of punishment for the class E felony of first-degree harassment is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term not less than one year and not to exceed four years; or by imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one year in the county jail or other authorized penal institution; or by a fine not to exceed $10,000; or by both imprisonment and fine. The range of punishment for the class D felony of tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term not less than one year and not to exceed seven years; or by imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one…
