’Dawgs see victories over Polo, Norborne as confidence-boosters

Hardin-Central’s 37-28 win over Polo and 43-18 win over Norborne Monday to conclude summer-league boys basketball play at Lawson were confidence-builders, teammates Brody Fifer and Kaleb Gant agreed. “It gives us … a feeling that we know we can win, if we just try and play as a team,” Fifer said shortly after the Bulldogs’ two games at Lawson High School. A three-point bucket by Polo during the final 30 seconds cut the margin to seven (22-15) at halftime. The Panthers then blanked Hardin-Central 7-0 the third quarter to make it 22-22 entering the final quarter.
