Commissioners approve TruNarc™ for sheriff’s office
The Ray County Commissioners have approved the purchase of a new drug testing machine for the Ray County Sheriff’s Office, at a cost of around $35,000.

Over the last 10 years, there has been a widespread increase in fatal and nonfatal drug overdoses, which has become a significant issue both nationwide and in Missouri. In 2022, Missouri was ranked 32nd in the nation for drug overdose death rates, with drug overdoses being the primary cause of death for adults aged 18-44 in the state.
