Bond changes free Richmond burglary suspects
A Richmond pair accused in a string of vehicle break-ins across the city have been released from custody after recent court rulings modified their bonds.
Makhi Emmanuel Chebar White, 26; and Maddyson Ann Fisher, 18, each face five felony counts of second-degree burglary, one felony count of stealing and two misdemeanor counts of stealing. The charges stem from incidents police described as “the recent rash of vehicle break-ins across our community,” where multiple vehicles were unlawfully entered and property was stolen.
The pair recently appeared separately before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins. White was granted a bond modification, reducing his bond from $20,000 to $10,000 cash or corporate surety. The court also required GPS monitoring as a condition of release, with Ray County covering the cost due to White’s indigent status.
