Track standouts

JEFFERSON CITY – Early in the afternoon of May 18 at Jefferson City High School, Hardin-Central junior Carly Thacker did something she called “really awesome”: She won the Class 1 state girls 300-meter low hurdles title with her time of 46.32 seconds in the event final.

“I’ve been wanting to do that since my freshman year and I’ve been really pushing myself,” Thacker, a three-time state qualifier in the event, said. “I knew … if I was going to do it, I could do it this year.”

Read all about it in Tuesday's Richmond Daily-News.
