The Richmond Spartans reclaimed their MRVC East track title in record-breaking fashion Tuesday at Holden High School. In winning back-to-back conference championships, the Spartans broke their own meet record for points scored. Richmond piled up 157 points Tuesday which broke their old mark of 150 set in 2011, and was 30 points ahead of runner-up Knob Noster. Holden finished third with 93, with Carrollton 20 points back in fourth. Higginsville edged Lexington for fifth spot 68-66.

Andre Pritchett also set a new meet record in winning the triple jump. The Spartan senior had a leap of 43 feet, 2 inches to break the mark of 42-1 set five years earlier by Richmond’s Lendarrius Pritchett.
