RICHMOND– The Spartans opened the curtain on a Greek tragedy for the Trojans, starring a chorus of touchdowns and a cast of relentless defensive linemen. Translation: Richmond popped open a can of whupass in the 44-6 victory Oct. 2 against visiting Carrollton. Just as hormonally impaired Paris stole Helen from the Greeks, the Trojans stole an early touchdown from the Spartans. On third and 10 from their own 32, Trojan senior quarterback Gavin Claud found senior wide receiver Cedar Metz. Claud’s pass went 68 yards for 6 – the Trojans’ only points.
