With Carrollton wrapping up the MRVC East title Friday, the Holden Eagles were playing for second spot as they hosted the Richmond Spartans Monday. For the second time in as many meetings between the two schools the Eagles posted 11 runs against the Spartans in an 11-0, 4 ½-inning victory.

Holden (19-4) broke open the scoreless game with a five-run third inning and then tacked on a half-dozen more runs in the home half of the fifth. Peyton Seiz kept Richmond off the board in his complete-game victory on the mound. The senior Eagle gave up a first-inning single to Calvin Swafford, a second-inning single to Gaven Oldham and a third-inning double to Laine Todd. Seiz did not walk a batter and struck out 12 Spartans.
