Hardin-Central relay runners Carly Thacker, Izabella Anderson, Gracie Gibson and Lacey Logsdon would probably agree the track at Lafayette County High School has brought out the best in them, in terms of their relay times.

Saturday on the Higginsville track, the foursome set a school record in the 800-meter relay during the Class 1, District 6 track and field meet. Their second-place time of 1 minute, 52.06 seconds broke the record of 1:52.6, set in 1996.

“I’m very proud of us for doing that,” Anderson said.
