ORRICK – A 35-26 first half helped the Bearcats claim a 64-58 win Friday over visiting Lone Jack in varsity boys basketball action.

Zander Stevinson and Ethan Wilson ranked as co-scoring leaders for Orrick (12-8 overall, 2-2 conference) with 17 points each. They led four Bearcats in double figures, with Dylan Comstock and Gabe McAfee providing 12 and 10 points, respectively. Comstock scored all his points during the first half.

Lone Jack sophomore Brayden Miller led all scorers with 18 points. Winters contributed 13 points, followed by Tristan Ornce with 12.

Orrick also defeated Lone Jack in the varsity girls game 43-30.

Both varsity teams will continue conference play Tuesday, when they host Sweet Springs/Malta Bend.
