After falling to the visiting Richmond Spartans 9-2 several weeks ago in the MRVC East opener, the Higginsville Huskers gained some measure of revenge with a 12-2 win at Southview field Tuesday afternoon.

The Huskers, winners of five of their last six games, improved to 13-3 overall and 5-2 in conference with the victory. Richmond, coming off a win one day earlier at Lawson, dropped to 2-11 overall and are 1-4 halfway through the MRVC East season.

Richmond managed just five hits in the loss, with two of those coming in the home half of the first on back-to-back singles by Dylan Alexander and Calvin Swafford.
