HARDIN-CENTRAL senior Carly Thacker has her shot contested as she and her fellow Bulldogs take on Green City Dec. 27 in Holiday Hoops action.

TRENTON – Hardin-Central “just kind of ran out of gas” in its last varsity girls basketball game of 2019, coach Kenny Layman said.

Facing an 18-point halftime deficit, the Bulldogs attempted a second-half comeback against undefeated Green City, getting within nine during the fourth quarter. But the Gophers answered with a 9-0 run down the stretch to hand Hardin-Central a 63-45 Dec. 27 Holiday Hoops defeat at North Central Missouri College.

“The difference in the game was basically the first half,” Layman said.
