Murray Dennis finds himself in new territory in his final season of coaching Richmond prep golf, which began last week with a tournament and a triangular. Dennis, who’ll retire in a few months, has three siblings in the last Richmond program he’ll lead – Kail, Bryer and Brody Farnan.
Last week provided a few measuring sticks for Richmond track coach David Rash and his staff. The week was the season opener for the Spartans, who participated in two meets: the UCM High School Mule Relays, a March 18 indoor-outdoor meet at Warrensburg; and the Richmond Invitational, held March 21.

An injury shortened Sydney Appleberry’s high school softball career, but it won’t stop her from playing beyond high school. On March 15, the Richmond senior formally signed her letter of intent in her high school gym to study and play softball at Moberly Area Community College (MACC).
