Stanley A. Moyer Jr., 67, of Parkville, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020.

Stan was born July 6, 1953, to Stanley A. and Mary Lou Moyer in Lexington.

Stan grew up in Richmond and graduated in 1971 from Richmond High School. After graduation, Stan began his career with Payless Cashways Inc., working his way toward management. After working for Home Center in management, he created a sales and marketing agency, servicing Home Centers nationwide.

Following this venture, he created showrooms and a distribution center, selling kitchen and bath products. Stan loved servicing customers, and endeavored to accommodate their needs and wants as much as possible.

Stan possessed an enviable personality. He was bold and full of life. He had two loves: his family and the Kansas City Chiefs. At the time of his death, he had been a Chiefs season ticket-holder since 1986.

Stan was a devoted family man. He was married to Karen for 33 years and he was a spouse to be envied. Loving, caring and always supportive, especially when we lost our son, Zachary. His support saved me.

Children and grandchildren were Stan’s love of life. He would always hope for a phone call or text from all of them. He tried his best to be the grandfather that his grandfather had been to him. It is important to emphasize that he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Stan also had another love. Her name was Coco Chanel, our blue nose pit bull that was left with us from our son, Zachary. She made Stan so happy and she conveyed the same to Stan.

Stan’s focus in life was always caring for others. He managed his son Zachary’s Little League baseball team for many years. He always tried to give his heart and support to children in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Zachary Dixon Moyer. Stan is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Scott

Stan is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Scott Moyer and Chris Moyer, and their mother, Thelma Bennett; five grandchildren, Chandler Moyer, Peyton Moyer, Melodie Moyer, Natalie Moyer and Aiden Moyer.

Stan Moyer lay in state from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. A private funeral service for family only will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to be made to the National Pancreas Foundation.
