Ricky Lynn Stevens, 62, of Hardin, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Lifecare Center in Carrollton.

Ricky was born on April 12, 1958, in Richmond, the son of Leonard E. and Geneva C. (Bales) Stevens.

Survivors include his mother, Geneva Stevens of Hardin; brother, Larry C. (Kathleen) Stevens of Raytown; two nephews, Chris (Melissa) Stevens of Hardin and Will (Jammie) Stevens of New Mexico; and two nieces, Julie (Rick) Adams of Lebanon and Wendy Abbott of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard E. Stevens.

Ricky was reared in Hardin and graduated from Lexington High School. He enjoyed going to the arcade in Hardin and taking his nieces and nephews there. To them, he was known as the “Pinball Wizard.” He was his mother’s boy and the family’s “rain man.”

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor’s choice. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation occurred from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Private family burial occurred in Lavelock Cemetery, north of Hardin.
