Norma Jean Cramer, 88, Richmond, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Liberty Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Carrollton, the daughter of Warnie J. and Della Mae (Cross) Jones.
Norma grew up and was raised in Carrollton. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her; her life’s mission was raising her children and grandchildren, providing them with the knowledge they needed to be successful.
Norma was the family teacher of standards and values. She was a very strong woman and stuck to her proper ethics. Norma enjoyed growing flowers and gardening, where she grew the best tomatoes. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Survivors include: three daughters, Patricia (Jeff) Jones of Keller, Texas; Linda Temple of Richmond; and Madonna Svaglic of Trenton; eight grandchildren, Richard (Susan) Curtis, Michelle (Bryan) George, Paula (Bradley) Richey, Cheryl (Jason) Taber, Candyce (Ruben) Mercado, Amanda Svaglic, Audrey (Jason) Harrell and Ali (Billy Michaels) Svaglic; 11 great-grandchildren, Morgan Richey, Taylor George, Daniel Curtis, Nathan Richey, Cale Adams, Blake George, Ashley George, Sebastian Mercado, Chloe Adams, Brayle Bayes and Eli Michaels.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Paul, Ted, Bobby, and Maurice Jones; and two sisters, Pauline Standley and Eleanor Madden.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery in Richmond.
