Nancy Kay Pearon, 62, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Nancy was born on May 9, 1958, in Topeka, Kansas, to Thomas A. Hupp and Wanda L. (Witte) Hupp. Nancy attended Orrick schools and was a 1976 graduate of Orrick High School.

Nancy was united in marriage to Terry L. Pearon on June 29, 1990. She worked for Whitaker Cable for several years and later worked as a supervisor for Price Candy Co. in Richmond. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond.

Nancy was a talented and artistic person. She loved sewing and crafting, and enjoyed making an assortment of pretty things. One of her passions was motorcycles, of which she loved to ride.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas A. Hupp in 1978; a brother, Bill Hupp in 1999; a sisterin-law, Ruth Hupp; her grandparents, Bill and Alvina Witte, and Dent and Pearl Coffman; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee and Gladys Pearon; a brother-inlaw, Ron Pearon; and a granddaughter, Emily.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Terry L. Pearon of the home; mother, Wanda L. Hupp-Rone; sister, Janet Hupp; sons, Travis R. Pearon and Terry Pearon; and daughter, Andrea Pearon; and sister-in-law, Shirley Davis. Other survivors include six grandchildren, three nieces and three nephews.

Per Nancy’s wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at South Point Cemetery near Orrick. Following the graveside services, the family will greet friends for visiting and refreshments at Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond.
