Millisa Annette Miller, 62, of Richmond, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at her residence.

Millisa was born March 13, 1957, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Wallace and Dorothy (Hyatt) Hopkins. She married Lloyd Wayne “Buddy” Miller of Hardin on June 9, 1995. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 2017.

Survivors include: two sons, Shawn Ritchie of Warrensburg and Kevin (Angel) Ritchie of Camden; one daughter, Amy Nicole (Daniel) Moore of Richmond; one step-daughter, Melissa (Larry) Wright of Aledo, Illinois; one brother, Robin Hopkins of Richmond; five grandchildren, Mikaela Stevens, Dalton Moore, Taylar Ritchie, Toby Ritchie, and Bella Ritchie; two step-grandchildren, Tim Neil and Trevor Neil; and many more who also called her grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Millisa was a housewife and homemaker. She worked outside of the home for a while as a supervisor for Price Candy in Richmond. She lived most of her life in the Richmond area. She was of the Christian faith and grew up in the Richmond Assembly of God Church. Millisa enjoyed reading, ghost stories and cooking. Most of all, her family was her everything, especially when it came to her grandkids.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Millisa Annette Miller Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main St., Richmond, MO 64085.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at
