Jessie Mae Ross, 74 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at her home. 

Jessie was born May 1, 1944, in Kansas City, to Fred T. Lee and Elizabeth M. (Miskell) Lee. She was born and raised in Kansas City and lived most of her life in Kansas City, except for a time when she lived in San Diego, California.

Jessie was a Christian and a true believer in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed watching her televangelist on the TV. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, and she liked to go fishing. She also loved her family very much and her dogs.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Lee Phillips.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Mae Foster and husband, James, of Raytown; Cindy Sue Foster of Loveland, Colorado, and Penny Lee Chase and husband, Michael, of Excelsior Springs. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Jessie will be at noon, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Rowland Cemetery, northwest of Orrick.

Gowing Funeral Home, Orrick, is in charge of arrangements.
