Harry Lee Booth, 88, passed away on July 14, 2020.

A visitation will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2020, followed by a celebration of life.

An inurnment service with military honors will follow at Richmond Memorial Gardens.

Harry was born on Nov. 18, 1931, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Clarence and Georgia (Eddings) Booth. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years during the Korean War as a diesel mechanic.

Harry met the love of his life, Jean Nicholson, on a blind date and the two were married on June 8, 1957.

Harry enjoyed working with his hands, collecting tools and working on projects, which carried over into his 40-year career as an airline mechanic with TWA. He restored classic cars and was a talented woodworker.

Harry and Jean loved dancing to big band music, traveling and spending summers with family at their lake house, as well as wintering in southern Texas for the past 20 years.

Harry loved living on their farm in Stet, Missouri, gardening, playing with his tractor, watching wildlife and visiting with the many friends and family there. He was a proud member of Barry Christian Church and the American Legion in Richmond.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Frances Simpson, Betty Bowden and Mary Brunsky.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Ellen Walbridge (Gary) and Dan Booth (Lesle); and a brother, Marty Booth (Judy).

Other survivors include his grandchildren, Daniel Booth (Deb), Brett Walbridge (Hilary), Derick Booth (Cheyanne) and Kevin Walbridge (Audi Anderson); and great-grandchildren, Grace, Will, Connor and Avelynn.
