Emogene Ogg, 95, of Richmond, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at her home.

Emogene was born on May 22, 1925, in Ray County, the daughter of Elmer and Gladys L. (Transue) Snider. She was united in marriage to Vernon Ogg of Ray County on Nov. 16, 1945. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2006.

Survivors include three sons, Gary (Janice) Ogg, Roger Ogg and Don (Patricia) Ogg, all of Richmond; three grandchildren, Kevin Ogg, James Ward and Angelia Ward; five greatgrandchildren, Gage Parker, Breanne Parrett, Lathaniel Ward, Alexis Ward and Peydon Forster; and one great-great-granddaughter, Alice Parrett, Richmond

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Carl Snider;two sisters, Agnes Houston and Joan Lewis; and daughter-in-law, Ellen Ogg.

Emogene lived her lifetime in Ray County and attended McGill Grade School, then Richmond High School, graduating in 1943. She then attended Central Missouri State College. After college, she taught three years at the Ogg School. After raising three sons, she did substitute teaching in Ray and Clay counties. She attended Todd’s Chapel Church, enjoyed raising flowers and plants, and restoring and selling antique furniture.
