Charlie Max Fowler, 89, Dardanelle, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Oct. 29, 1930, in Gilmer County, Georgia to the late James Solon and Grace Rollins Fowler.

He loved to fish and go hunting.

Survivors include six children, Richard Fowler, Gene Fowler, Yvonne Bishop, Terry Fowler, Glenda M. Stevens and Judy Bolin; one brother, General Fowler; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elsie E. Fowler; a son, Billy Wayne Covey; and a sister, Carrie Payne.

Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019, in Woodland Cemetery in Richmond.
