Bonnie Lee Seward, 87, Richmond, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Bonnie was born May 24, 1932, in Donnellson, Illinois, the daughter of Rev. O.L. and Altha Lee (Williams) Bost. She was united in marriage to William Tennis “Bill” Seward of Camden, on May 1, 1954; he survives of the home.
After growing up in Beecher City, Illinois; Dardenville, Arkansas; and Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Bonnie moved to Lexington in 1949. She graduated from Henrietta High School. Bonnie’s work history included her first job as a telephone operator, then at Montgomery Ward, Jones Flower Shop and later the Commercial Bank, all in Lexington, and finally at First National Bank (Bank of America) in Richmond until she retired in 1995.
Bonnie was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, at her church, the Richmond Assembly of God and also as a hospital volunteer. Her life centered on God, her family, especially her grandchildren, where she rarely missed any of their activities.
Survivors include: one son, William Tennis “Tennie” Seward Jr., of Knob Noster; three daughters, Altha Wright of Warsaw; Bonita (Craig) Miller of Phoenix; and Crystal (Rev. Timothy) Coats of Spring Hill, Florida; seven grandchildren, Lacey Seward, Corey Wright, Adrianne (Matthew) Long, Ashley (Adam) Trunnell, Mallory (Aaron Bowers) Stillwell, Jared Coats and Meredith (Michell) Hobbs; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Ally, Cash, Zac, Kyle, Murray, Llewyn, Jaxson and Beau; one brother, James Bost of Pleasant Valley; and one sister, Betty Calabrese of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Herschel, Bob, Bill and David Bost; two sisters, Catherine Johnston and Caroline Bost in infancy.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2019, at the Assembly of God Church in Richmond. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial was in Richmond Memory Gardens. Online condolences maybe left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
