Richmond schools provide virus update
RICHMOND – Richmond School District’s COVID-19 infection numbers continue to fluctuate, based on information released by administrators.
The biggest change in numbers among students is seen at the high school. The number of quarantined students there declined by 43, to five.
A substantial change also is evident at Richmond Middle School, where the number of quarantined students has nearly doubled, going from 22 to 43 cases.
On Monday, in keeping with a policy of transparency regarding the virus, district administrators stated the district learned Sunday that a person at Sunrise Elementary School had tested positive for COVID-19. In cooperation with the Ray County Health Department, anyone who had been in close contact with the individual is being notified.
