Ray County reviews final phase of ARPA funding

With several projects now complete, Ray County Commissioners are working to allocate roughly $500,000 in remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds before a federal spending deadline later this year. Commissioners were recently given an update during a meeting with FORVIS, a firm that provides audit, assurance, tax and consulting services to public entities and organizations. FORVIS Senior Consultant Cecilia Farris reviewed the status of completed projects and remaining funds, while Ray County Attorney Travis Elliott provided clarification on payment responsibilities and spending deadlines. Farris confirmed multiple projects funded through the program have been completed and paid, including the power water supply district project and the Woodrail project, both of which have now been finalized.
