Ray bicentennial

THIS MAP shows the state in 1821. Ray County extends to the Iowa border to the north. To the west, Clay and other counties have not yet been carved out of Ray County. Also, Ray is the only county in the northwest part of the state. The Platte Purchase in 1838 changes state boundaries and leads to adding several counties, including Platte and Buchanan.
