New director leads Richmond Chamber of Commerce
RICHMOND – The Richmond Chamber of Commerce chose a new executive director, Carolyn Arney, who is familiar already with the chamber community and operations.
Arney worked for about two years as the assistant executive director at the Richmond Chamber before accepting the chamber’s leadership position. She discussed the direction the chamber board would like her to take as director.
“We’re going to try to focus more on the businesses’ needs,” Arney said. “We know that our local businesses have struggled through COVID-19. We are working closely with the city and the Keep It Richmond group to try to reach out to these businesses to support them in any way we can.”
The chamber’s office remains open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Hours of operation will extend after the Christmas Tree Extravaganza starts Nov. 13.
