RICHMOND – The voter-approved constitutional amendment to allow medical marijuana’s growth, sale and use in Missouri continues to move toward implementation.

“People are calling all the time asking for applications,” Ray County Health Department Administrator Shelby Spor said during a County Commission meeting.

Commissioners expressed concerns about medical marijuana dispensaries possibly locating in the county.

“We don’t know how to structure that and what’s going to be allowed,” Commissioner Allen Dale said. “We definitely want to take a hard look at that. I want to see just how much leeway we have with these permits.”
