RICHMOND - The new Burger “Home of the Whopper” King appears ready to open.

The burger giant's logos went up on the building Wednesday, staff is being trained and the interior appears almost complete.

Project superintendent Rick Martin of Knoebel Construction, Chesterfield, said the restaurant could open before the month ends, but weather at this time of year always makes building plans uncertain, with freezing rain and sleet expected Friday and possibly Saturday.

Burger King, which serves Coke products, is located less than 100 yards east of the KFC-Taco Bell and Subway restaurants on Missouri Route 13 in Richmond.
