DURING A chronic disease management class, Senior Center Director Pat Mills creates an action plan that will help her accomplish a goal.

RICHMOND – “I need to get out and walk,” Pat Mills said as she set her goals at the weekly Chronic Disease Management class Monday at the Ray County Senior Center.

The class meets from 1 to 2:30 p.m. every Monday until June 10, except for Memorial Day when it meets Tuesday, May 28.

The free six-week class does not focus on the disease, Tane Lewis said.

Lewis is with the Mid-America Regional Council and facilitates the discussion with Allene Gremaud from the Missouri Extension office.

“This is a process-oriented class to help people manage their health using small, reachable goals,” Lewis said.

There is room for more participants, she said.

To register or for details, call Mills at 816-470-5808.
