Coach Kirk Thacker’s plans for starting Orrick’s final week of varsity 8-man football team camp Monday got changed. Normally, Thacker and his Bearcats hold camp sessions outside.
For three hours Monday, Richmond High School was open to Richmond middle schoolers and high schoolers wanting to get cleared to participate in Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA)-sanctioned extracurricular pursuits.
Showing gratitude for local veterans, Orrick Christian Church (OCC) representatives recently delivered gifts and cash to Veterans Community Project (VCP) Outreach Center in Kansas City, Mo. The group delivered more than 200 items, with a total value of $500, along with $1,795 in cash and gift card donations as a tribute to veterans.
Richmond City Council approved the new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Parking Spaces in the downtown area. This includes adding spaces for ADA vans and cars, erecting signs, striping parking spaces and the removal of one existing space.
It isn’t very often that someone in Richmond reaches their 100th birthday but Wilma Carter of Richmond just celebrated 100 years of life with her friends and family this past Saturday at the Methodist Church on Main St.
Two Richmond residents and a young Carrollton man were involved in a plane crash just before noon on July 13 in Osage Beach. Evan Vandiver, 19, of Richmond and Hayden Ritchhart, 22, of Carrollton succumbed to injuries at the scene of a plane crash.
