Henrietta has been awarded nearly $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) money, which the mayor says will be put to good use “one day at a time.” The Department of Economic Development awarded nearly $11 million to 22 Missouri communities to pay for a variety of improvement projects. Richmond’s marijuana rules have been updated to reflect changes in the Missouri Constitution. Richmond City Council members unanimously adopted an ordinance amending certain sections of the municipal code regarding both recreational and medical marijuana facilities.

Residents commuting to and from Excelsior Springs have noticed the detour as the Missouri Hwy 10 Bridge is being worked on. Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Kansas City District Area Engineer Benjamin Mc-Cabe confirmed that the bridge work is “on schedule” and the anticipated contract completion is the end of November.
