Tough schedule, new postseason format await Richmond girls golfers
RICHMOND – There are no easy competitions for the Spartans this girls golf season, which began Sept. *, senior Hannah Norris and junior Tori Bowman agreed.
“But I ... don’t think we’ll have any problem,” Bowman said Aug. 14 after practice at Shirkey Golf Course. “We’ll get through it.”
Norris and Bowman also agree that, of all the courses awaiting the Spartans, Country Creek Golf Course in Pleasant Hill will prove the most challenging.
“We usually only play there once in a blue moon,” Norris, a four-year team member, said. “But now, we’re playing it twice – and it’s a little nervewracking.”
Bowman likes difficult courses like Country Creek, where the Spartans will play when they travel for matches hosted by Pleasant Hill and Harrisonville.
“They challenge you … – want you to work harder,” she said.
