Cyrus Jackson could say he made a game-saving tackle Monday. But he couldn’t say he made a gamewinning tackle. With the score 20-20 and 12.4 seconds left in the final quarter of Richmond’s Red and White Scrimmage at Spartan Stadium, the Red Team attempted a Hail Mary pass from the White Team’s 45-yard line. Forced to scramble, Reds backup quarterback Jayden Pearson ran downfield, looking to score the game-winning touchdown. Pearson didn’t make it. Jackson, playing linebacker for the White Team, knocked him out of bounds.
